Weekend Yeti Hunt

What It Is

Weekend Yeti Hunt is an ongoing creative project — part photography series, part storytelling exercise, part excuse to spend weekends in interesting landscapes. Each "hunt" is a documented expedition to a specific place, searching for evidence of something mythical.

Why It Exists

I wanted a framework for creative exploration that wasn't tied to a screen. Weekend Yeti Hunt gives me a reason to go somewhere, look closely, and document what I find — even when (especially when) what I find isn't a yeti.

It's also an experiment in serialized storytelling. Each hunt builds on the last, creating a loose narrative thread through real places and imagined possibilities.

Highlights

• Place-based. Each episode is tied to a specific location — a ridge, a canyon, a stretch of coastline.
• Mixed media. Photography, field recordings (captured with NØTE, naturally), and written dispatches.
• Deliberately absurd. The premise is silly on purpose. That silliness creates permission to be creative without pressure.
• Community. A small but enthusiastic group of people who follow along and submit their own "sightings."

What I Learned

The best creative projects have low stakes and clear constraints. "Go somewhere interesting and look for a yeti" is a ridiculously simple brief, but it's generated more creative output than any ambitious project plan I've ever written.
